This new hand and body lotion from Redex Industries contains 20% urea, a compound that improves the skin’s ability to act as a barrier. This high level of urea in an unscented non-greasy moisturizing cream offers extra soothing power for stressed-out skin.
Some customers who love the Extra Care 20 tubes have begged for a larger size that would last longer. This 8-ounce tub is the response.
Ingredients: Deionized water, Urea, Stearic acid, Peg-2 Stearate, Propylene glycol, Isopropyl myristate, Dimethicone, Lanolin oil, Mineral oil, Triethanolamine, Allantoin, Methylparaben, Propylparaben
I’m 70 years old and have been using this cream for about 4 months. It is very effective reducing the appearance of crinkled skin on my upper arms. i recently had trouble with a rash on my face and neck and substituted the Udder Cream for my normal night cream and serum. The rash is gone and my face is well hydrated and smooth.
I looked for the ingredients in this cream and it includes: methylparaben& propylparaben.
“Parabens are carcinogenic. Past research has focused on how parabens fuel the growth of existing cancer cells through their estrogenic activity. But in a second study published earlier this year, Dr. Darbre found that parabens may be carcinogenic, meaning they can transform healthy cells into cancer cells.Sep 6, 2012”
How could the “Peoples Pharmacy” recommend a product with parabens????
I went and checked Walgreen’s website. I could only find the Original Formula, not the Extra Care 20 with the 20% urea. I didn’t get any more skin cracks on my fingers after I started using the Extra Care 20 during Winter 2015-2016. (I posted my review under the 2 oz. tube.)
I do hand needlework, such as quilting, embroidery, and knitting. Udder Cream is an excellent non greasy hand moisturizer. It doesn’t leave any type of residue on any of my needlework projects. Udder Cream is the only moisturizer that doesn’t leave a greasy residue on my hands or anything I touch.
I cannot believe the People’s Pharmacy sells any product that contains parabens. Parabens are known hormone disruptors. They are suspected of being carcinogenic. There are other choices for preservatives to put in products, and many many products have eliminated the parabens from their ingredients.
The product feels great. I purchased to use on spider veins on legs. Only been using for a month and they seem lighter. Will continue to use.
I’ve tried many different products to deal with the painful, bleeding cracks I get on my fingertips in winter. Utterly Smooth Extra Care 20 with urea is by far the best. I rub a generous amount on my hands before bed every night to prevent cracks from forming. I also apply it sometimes in the daytime but what helps the most is applying it every night.
It is a wonderful cream to soften skin better than any others that I have used over the years. It absorbs very easily and has a pleasant scent. I too have the spider veins, but guess I don’t apply the cream often enough to my legs for them to disappear.
This is by far the best hand cream I’ve ever used. I’d given up finding anything that would keep my fingers from cracking, splitting, and bleeding during the winter. Even prescription hand creams did not solve the problem. A friend told me to try the Udder Cream – it’s fantastic! I made it though this winter with hardly any hand problems, in spite of having eczema on my hands. I highly recommend it for anyone who struggles with dry hands, no matter the time of year. (Make sure you order the Extra Care with the 20% urea – that’s the ‘magic’ ingredient.)
I bought this product after reading about it reducing vericose veins hoping it would help on my spider veins. I can’t say I’ve seen much improvement but it did help tremendously with my dry skin. It feels great and does not have a strong odor. I much prefer it to other products I have tried.
The cream is great but the container was only 1/4 full and took over two weeks to arrive.
Works well on several skin issues. Soothing to the skin and helps with drying & cracking. Large size avoids
repeated shipping costs
I wish I could find the product in stores locally. I got a sample in a running race goody bag and liked its odor and texture. Then I read about it in the People’s Pharmacy website. The cream has cleared up a few complexion issues on my face. I’m not sure it reduces varicose veins as some people attest, but I continue to use it after showering on an almost daily basis. Udder Cream has become my lotion of choice.
Best hand cream I have used. Immediately absorbed and dry hands respond quickly. I keep several tubes as I never want to run out. Highly recommend this product.
I had a series of skin tags that mostly don’t bug me, except in warm weather when the lower necklines rub them. Last spring I used zinc oxide, and it worked ok with consistent daily use; softened the bumps so that they dropped off when I touched them. My main complaint about the zinc oxide was that it took a fair amount of rubbing-in to eliminate the white smear. So…over the winter I acquired a new batch of skin tags needing attention before low neckline season. I decided to give Udder Cream a try instead of zinc oxide. The tags softened up quickly and came off much sooner — and no telltale white smear!!
I prefer the regular formula also. The extra care leave a white residue.
I love this cream. My feet are soft and no longer dry with calluses and it works wonders for my hands, arms and legs as well.
I work in the greenhouse industry and my hands are in soil all day which dries them out. This cream puts a protective coating on that helps retain the natural moisture in my hands and replaces the oils that I loose while working. Highly recommend this product…
I ordered the Extra Care cream as well as the regular formula. I did not care for the “after feel” of the Extra Care, though it did a good enough job of softening and healing. I much prefer the regular formula but that is just my personal thoughts on how my hands felt immediately after applying. The Extra Care formula seemed to leave my hands “sticky” and I do have a real problem with sticky things. I have actually used Udder Care cream for many years and would ” stick”with the regular formula.
This product absorbed completely. No sticky feeling. Really helped my feet.
